An electrochemical technology (electrochemical advanced oxidation process) based on Adamant®-Electrodes, the DiaCell®-Technology, enables water treatment without addition of chemicals among other thanks to the generation of OH° radicals.
Adamant Technologies developed a range of modules based on the DiaCell® technology. These modules are electrochemical cells, based on Adamant®-Electrodes of various shapes.
Depending on the volume to be treated, one or several DiaCell® modules can be installed in parallel. Moreover, additional compartments can easily be installed in each DiaCell® module to increase capacity. This device can be implemented on-site in units with various characteristics and sizes.
DiaCell® and Adamant®-Electrodes applications are mainly in the water market, both for domestic and industrial uses. These are specifically:
The oxidants, mainly based on active oxygen, represent a simple, fast, clean and economical technology to efficiently disinfect water and reduce chemical pollutants of wastewater.

Measuring the concentration of various compounds in aqueous medium is an important issue for water and wastewater treatment monitoring. It is also a key parameter for the monitoring of several industrial processes. For that purpose, electrochemical measurement might enable a simple and fast method. On-line sensors should be cost effective, maintenance-free and reliable. They should be able to tolerate prolonged exposure to an aqueous environment, with variations in conductivity, pressure, flow rate, pH and temperature. To some of these issues, Adamant membraneless microelectrode-based sensors, SenSysTM, provide unique solution for on-line water sensing and monitoring.
